Estane TPU has a long history as the global market leader, with a product portfolio that contains various grades of TPUs for film extrusion, tubing, cable jacketing, injection molding, calendering and solution process. “We offer many FDA-compliant TPUs that been utilized in medical and food processing applications such as medical gowns and conveyor belts,” says Kim. Estane TPUs also offer an Easy-to-Extrude (ETE) product line known for its clarity and processability as alternatives to polyamide 11, polyamide 12 or copolyester elastomers for pneumatic tubing. The ZHF series is ideal for the wire and cable industry, which demands halogen-free flame retardant chemistry for cable jacketing.
“Estane 5715 and 5712 F30 and F60 TPUs have been widely utilized in shoe ink, lacquer applications, and shoe adhesives worldwide. With extensive molding grades from the US and Europe, various applications such as soft touch, cattle tags, and shoe sole molding work best with Estane TPUs,” Kim notes. “We answer the needs for price-sensitive applications with Estane 58213 TPU, which can be compounded with flexible PVC and CP80AS2, a newly developed product that can be extruded with flexible PVC.”
