Noveon, Inc. Becomes Lubrizol Advanced Materials, Inc.
Estane® TPU Products & Services to Continue

CLEVELAND, OH, July 19, 2007 – The Lubrizol Corporation (“Lubrizol”) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Noveon, Inc. has changed its name to Lubrizol Advanced Materials, Inc., respectively. This name change reflects Lubrizol’s recent decision to discontinue the broad use of “Noveon” in favor of “Lubrizol Advanced Materials” around the world. Subsidiaries of Lubrizol in Europe and Asia will similarly change their names this month. In the future, “Noveon” will only be used in connection with Lubrizol’s consumer specialty products.

Lubrizol also formally unveiled its new logo consisting of the Lubrizol name and a blue arc. The logo was designed to reflect the company’s global reach and its focus on the long-term horizon.

Both of these actions are part of Lubrizol’s ongoing one-company initiative to create a common identity for The Lubrizol Corporation and its subsidiaries, which together represent a global specialty chemical company with a broad technology portfolio and employees focused on serving customers’ business needs.

Though the company name is changing, the products and services the company offers will remain the same. The products and services in the Estane® thermoplastic polyurethane line will remain continue. Lubrizol acquired the Estane TPU business as part of the acquisition of Noveon, Inc. in 2004. Lubrizol offers one of the largest portfolios of TPU products in the world with a broad product portfolio that includes Estane TPU resins for a wide variety of industrial, automotive, textile and medical applications.

Commenting on the one company initiative, James Hambrick, Lubrizol’s president, chairman and chief executive officer, said, “Our goal is to clearly state to our investors, customers and other stakeholders that Lubrizol is a united organization with a common philosophy and vision, focused on growth. The name and logo change will be beneficial to how we do business. Eliminating the use of multiple names and logos will allow us to present ourselves to the global marketplace in a consistent manner.”
