Estane® and Thermedics™ TPUs represent a broad portfolio of aromatic and aliphatic technology including those specifically formulated for the solution process. These materials can easily be put into solution for a variety of applications.

Our TPU resin portfolio can be soluble in a variety of solvents including high hydrogen bonding solvents, such as THF and DMF and in blends of these solvents with ketones such as MEK or acetone and other diluents. Some are soluble in ketones (MEK, acetone) alone, while our medical hydrogels can be dissolved with IPA and water.

We have some products in granule form ready-to-be-dissolved into an appropriate solvent system. They differ significantly from the reactive two-component polyurethane systems. Being completely free of any reactive isocyanate, our TPU resins do not require a curing process to develop ultimate physical properties.

Whether you select our Estane TPU, or one of our Thermedics medical grades -Tecoflex® aliphatic TPU, Carbothane® polycarbonate-based TPU, Tecophilic® hydrophilic aliphatic TPU or Tecothane® aromatic TPU our broad offering is sure to meet your needs.
